About Playermetry
A rating, not a match grade
The marks you see on live-score apps are tallies of visible actions - a goal here, a key pass there, a tackle counted - and they naturally flatter attackers while overlooking anyone whose contribution never reaches a box score. The Playermetry Rating asks a harder, fairer question: when this player is on the pitch, does their team actually do better on the scoreboard? Because it is built from outcomes rather than counted actions, it is far harder to inflate - and far more honest about who genuinely moves a match.
One scale, every league
Every Playermetry Rating sits on the same absolute scale. A 75 means the same level of quality whether it comes from a major league or an obscure one, so you can compare players from completely different competitions directly - something raw league statistics, which are always relative to their own division, can never give you. Ratings start at 0 and have no ceiling: most players sit within a familiar band, while the rare, exceptional performers climb above 100.
Where they are - and where they're heading
Beyond a player's current level, every report projects their age trajectory: the expected rise of a young prospect or the decline of a veteran, modelled separately for outfield players and goalkeepers. The projection points to a player's peak as a realistic age window rather than a false-precision single age, and places them against reference trajectories for every tier - from the elite level down - so you can see where a player stands today and how far they could realistically develop. You scout for potential, not just for the present.
Every role rewarded
A system that finally credits the unsung heroes in non-attacking roles. Because the rating captures impact on the result rather than attacking output, it values every player on the pitch fairly, whatever their position.

A complete picture, refreshed on a clear schedule
Every rating is built on a player's most recent complete body of match data. Our standard datasets are updated twice a year, in January and July, so each report reflects performance through the last completed competitive period rather than a noisy part-season snapshot - a rating earned over a full season is far more reliable than one swayed by a handful of recent matches. Reports on our standard packages are generated from the most current dataset available at the time of your order, which in most cases will be the January or July dataset.
Honesty over hype
Playermetry is an objective tool to reduce the risk of a poor signing - not a crystal ball. A strong rating means a high probability of quality, not a guarantee. We will always tell you what our analysis can and cannot support.
